The photographs in “A Wayward Distraction” document the tensions and anxieties prevalent in the recent political and social atmosphere. Individual images within the body of work reflect pointed issues in the news cycle such as global warming, war, racism, digital isolation, and more, while the entire group of images creates a narrative about finding oneself outside of negativity and influence.
